PureSea® seaweed contains specific compounds (polyphenols and polysaccharides) that have been shown to impact both fat absorption and blood glucose release. Additionally, the natural iodine levels in PureSea® allow for EFSA health claims, including supporting high energy yield metabolism, which is a powerful statement when using on weight management products.
Extensive research on seaweed extracts - alginates (polysaccharides) – has demonstrated an impact on reducing fat absorption through enzyme inhibition. Furthermore, the polyphenols in PureSea® have shown to inhibit alpha-glucosidase enzymes, which are responsible for the digestion of carbohydrates and release of glucose to the blood, thus slowing the release of sugars to the blood and potentially reducing the glycemic response when used in or taken with food.

Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is an endogenous fatty acid amide made inside the body when necessary. It is also a member of the extended endocannabinoid family and ligands at non-cannabinoid peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors. Since its discovery in 1954 there have been a good amount of studies aimed to demonstrate its role in a variety of biological functions related to chronic pain and inflammation.
PEA has been used in several controlled studies focused on the management of chronic pain among adult patients with different underlying clinical conditions. Some of these studies can be viewed here or in a recent scoping review available here. These are only a selection from the broad research done on this fatty acid amide.
Palmitoylethanolamide (PEA) is available in powder from LEHVOSS Nutrition. Visit our dedicated page to download the technical specification or contact us for more details.

In a scientific study, Pomella® pomegranate extract was shown to be effective at protecting human skin fibroblasts from cell death following UVA and UVB exposure while increasing the intracellular antioxidant capacity after UV exposure. Punicalagins and metabolites in Pomella® show potent anti-glycative effects, including collagen glycation.
XanMax®, a unique combination of lutein with varying levels of zeaxanthin, may contribute in boosting the anti-oxidant body defense system that protects from environmentally induced skin damage.

LEHVOSS Nutrition and our supplier partner RNP Nutrition Inc. were recently interviewed by the editors of CNS Media to provide a view about the role of vitamins and minerals today and how we believe the market has embraced trends from plant-based and organic to clean label in order to respond the demand from a more educated customer. More and more people are seeking for natural vitamins; absorption remains a key concern to ensure that consuming vitamins and minerals can be effective at all.
We believe that in some cases absorption is not only related to the active ingredient itself, but it may have to do with the “organic affinity” to the human body when consumed. To read the full article published on Nutrition Insight, click here.
